Happy Self-Care Sunday! It's been a minute since I posted and it's definitely time to get back to work. For me, writing is therapeutic and necessary to retain my peace. I had gotten so busy with life that I'd forgotten what it felt like to just stop and breathe. Sometimes, it is easy to get caught up in everything and everyone else and forget about self. The fact of the matter is, if you don't take care of yourself on a regular basis, burnout creeps its way in eventually. Have you ever felt like you were empty? I have gotten that feeling on several occasions. Like when I finally sit down, there is nothing left. I have made it a point lately to prevent that from happening. Five or ten minutes to yourself can make a world of difference. We, especially as women, have so much asked of us every day. We are givers, and fixers, and helpers. We do all these things for others and tend to forget about our own well-being. Today, I want you to make a conscious effort and promise to yourself to do better. Take time for you. You deserve it!
